These inspirational solos are perfect for your church, your home, and your car. The music is so beautiful. These are all original solos composed by Richard Henry Lee. All solos are suitable for use in Christian Science Services. These solos are mostly counterpoint - duets between voice and organ. The melody moves from one to the other. Almost all of the words to the solos are from Scriptural Text and from poems from the CS Hymnal. Mrs. Eddy's poems are used by permission of TMC.
The Book of Sheet Music is the same music that's on the Double CD. This Sheet Music will make a wonderful contribution to your church solos. The Book is for all voices. There are Alternate Notes in every solo that will accommodate a high and middle voice, and an Appendix with 8 of the solos in lower keys. The Double CD is gorgeous. You will need relatively good speakers to hear the depth of the organ. Each Book of Sheet Music comes with a Double CD in the inside back cover. The CDs are also sold separately.
The title of the Book and CD comes from one of Dick Lee's favorite quotations: "Man in the sunshine of the world's new spring, Shall walk transparent like some holy thing." (Sir Thomas More 1478-1535). Dick Lee's wish is that this music will have just that effect on each one listening to the CDs or hearing the solos performed in church.
